Make the at-home visit experience smoother and more comfortable for you and your pet.

Confirm the time and date

Double-check your appointment details, including when our Caregivers are scheduled to arrive. Keep an eye on your phone with any updates!

Provide arrival instructions

Let us know about any parking details, access codes, or special entry instructions ahead of time.

Notify instead of doorbell?

If your pet gets excited or anxious when the doorbell rings, let us know if you'd prefer we call or text upon arrival instead.

Choose a quiet space

Choose a calm area where the Caregivers can work with your pet without distractions or loud noises. Cats often do best in smaller enclosed spaces (like a bathroom or closed room) to minimize stress.

Setup a safe area

Have a spot inside with space to move around. Tidy up to remove any potential hazards, like small objects or cords, that could pose a risk to your pet or our Caregivers.

Limit stress

Keep your pet calm by avoiding excessive activity or stimulation before the Caregivers arrive.

Administer calming medications (if prescribed)

If your vet provided any calming medications, be sure to give them as directed; typically a few hours before the visit.

Be present

Your presence can reassure your pet, especially if they tend to be anxious. If needed, you can step out during treatments.

Follow any instructions

If your vet gave you specific preparation instructions (like fasting before a test), make sure to follow them closely.

Separate other pets

To avoid distractions, keep other pets in a separate room during the visit so our Caregivers can focus fully on the pet receiving care.
